Meet The Man Behind The J.E.D.I Collective: Kip Blackston
What is your typically week for being an artist(s) manager?
typical week for me is call each one of my artist at the beginning of the week to game and budget things out. Writing and answering emails is a definite part of that week as well. I also do some more behind the scenes work paperwork you no all that fun stuff.
How many artist(s) do you manage?
At the current moment of this interview I manage 2 artist: Kid Bless and Wrightway Dee
What is your biggest strength?
I’m very technical when it comes to my artist. I pay attention to details when its comes to their music and their life. I’m more of they big brother then a manager.
How did you get into the management position, have you done any other things in the industry?
Well i use to be a rapper(Every now and then i still get behind the mic lol) but after I started to do some solo searching, I realized that I had a passion for what goes on behind the scenes plus I never really wanted to be in the front or be “A star” I’m good with being in the shadows
How long have you been in the industry?
Well im technically not in the “industry” yet but I’m been a manager going on 4 years now
What are your short term goals for your artist(s)
Short terms goal is to help them get their foot in the door and to help them reach…
