Interview With D Kirk KV (NEW)
What’s your name? How did you get started?
At 26 years of age, D Kirk KV developed his love of music from his father. D Kirk KV’s sound is really from his heart and his love of music. He originated from the East Coast in Philadelphia but has a West Coast style and swagger. Kirk’s family and friends are of tropical decent from the Caribbean and Jamaica which he uses the feelings and sounds of the island-style dancehall beats. His songs “Put It Down” featuring Sunnie is a rap record about love and feeling good with someone when you first meet. This side of him as an artist, you get to embrace on palm trees and tropical feelings. Love and dance are things which he admires that he caught on from artists Shaggy and Sean Paul. The music was his “light” out of the bad times.
He feels honored to be growing as an artist. D Kirk’s family helped kickstart his passion for music by listening to new artists such as Chris Brown, Kid Ink, Big Sean, and J Cole. These artists shaped his sound and molded his love of music. As a college graduate with a business degree, he used his college experience to allow himself to use music as an outlet. His Debut Album, “Oceans”, is a pure expression of those vibes. The highlights of his career include being featured in multiple artist magazines such as the front cover of DARK MAGAZINE IN HOLLYWOOD CALIFORNIA, Articles with Rnb Crazy…
