Interview With DC’s Own Ricky B Da Lefty

Wussup it’s Ricky B Da Lefty bka Ricky B and I’m a 26-year old rising artists out of DC. Well known and gaining more notoriety around the area for the singles “21”, “Same As Us”, & “Nah Forreal”.

1. Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?

“I’m the youngest of 5 and come from a big family born & raised on the Southside. I just been moving smart, thinking about the risks and benefits of all my actions, staying focused, having fun, and blocking out all the noise and distractions.”

2. Where are you from?

“I’m from Southeast, Washington DC by way of a combination of two hoods called 2–4 Trap & Cedar Gardens better known as Trap Gardenz.”

3. When did you start music?

“I started this journey around February/March of 2019.”

4. How did you get into music?

“I always knew how to rap but I would sweep it under the rug because I felt like everybody was doing it but then something clicked in my head and I started to tell myself all these ideas and thoughts need to be heard. I just gotta do it, I been plotting on doing it but never really had the courage to do so until I got tired of hiding it. And I was motivated by the people around me so they made me want to stop playing around and go hard which is what I feel like im doing now.”
